Job Title: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pediatric Psych
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (11:00 PM – 11:30 AM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Children/Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. This role involves providing direct patient care in a behavioral health setting, supporting pediatric and adolescent patients with psychiatric needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a pediatric psychiatric unit
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient behavior
• Assist with patient intake, exams, and clinical procedures
• Support daily care activities and patient hygiene needs
• Administer injections and assist with medical procedures as directed
• Maintain safe and therapeutic patient environment
• Document patient information using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Communicate patient updates to the healthcare team
• Assist with administrative and unit support tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Active New York State LPN license
• CPR certification (current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior inpatient hospital experience
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Psychiatric nursing experience required
• EKG application experience preferred
• Experience with EMR systems
