A bit about us:

With six offices nationwide, this growing mid-size consulting firm provides investigative engineering and accident reconstruction services to some of the largest law firms, insurance carriers, and manufacturers in the country.

The organization’s team of engineers and engineering consultants brings deep expertise across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, marine, fire, metallurgy, and mold exposure. Leveraging state-of-the-art technology and a proven methodology, the firm delivers thorough, defensible forensic investigations tailored to the needs of litigation and risk assessment.

For more than 35 years, the firm has supported thousands of investigations involving accident causation and product failures. Its approach—grounded in sound engineering principles, meticulous testing, and close alignment with courtroom requirements—has produced a strong track record of positive outcomes. This consistency and technical rigor have established the organization as a highly respected leader in the forensic engineering industry.

Why join us?

Join a growing, well-established professional services organization based in Cleveland, Ohio, where your work directly supports high-impact legal outcomes. In this role, you’ll represent specialized engineering expert services that help attorneys navigate complex litigation, with engineers serving as trusted expert witnesses.

This is an opportunity to step into a visible, relationship-driven sales role where your ability to build trust, open doors, and grow long-term partnerships truly matters. You’ll have the autonomy of an outside sales position paired with the support of an experienced internal team.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
Base salary of $70,000–$100,000, depending on experience
Quarterly sales incentive plan
Annual discretionary bonus tied to individual and company performance

As Director of Business Development, you’ll work with a highly targeted, professional client base, including defense attorneys handling insured civil litigation and insurance claims professionals involved in investigative and litigation support. This focused market allows you to develop deep expertise and long-lasting client relationships rather than chasing transactional sales.

If you’re energized by consultative selling, value credibility and expertise, and want to grow with an organization that recognizes performance and initiative, this role offers both stability and upside—along with the chance to make a meaningful impact in a specialized niche.

Competitive benefits including family health, dental, vision (1st of the month), or a medical stipend, 12 company-paid holidays, vacation, personal sick-safe time, STD, LTD, life insurance, voluntary life insurance, and 401K available upon hire.
