Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and assisting in the bidding process to ensure competitive and profitable project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, estimating, and bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine scope and material requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates reflect project requirements
- Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes in scope or costs
- Provide cost analysis and support for change orders as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the HVAC industry
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
