Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CDL Driver with extensive experience in flatbed trucking to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a CDL A license and a minimum of 2 years of flatbed experience. You will be responsible for delivering steel products to various construction sites and secondary warehouses, completing necessary paperwork, and communicating effectively with customers and management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver production to various construction sites and secondary warehouses.
- Complete necessary paperwork for all shipments.
- Communicate with customers and management.
- Assist in loading and unloading loads.
- Utilize the company's color system to organize raw material based on the thickness of cuts of steel.
Essential Skills
- CDL A license
- 2+ years of flatbed experience
- Ability to see all colors
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Longevity in previous positions (2+ years in each role)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CDL A or B license
- Preferred experience in steel transport
- Preferred over-the-road (OTR) trucking experience

Work Environment
Warehouse Environment: This role involves working in a loud and dirty warehouse due to the nature of the product. There are many distractions due to customer interactions and orders coming in and out. The warehouse is large, with stacks of steel and racks holding various materials. You will be driving company trucks, so you must be fully insurable.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
