Job Description

Job DescriptionMake Every Cycle Better — Wax Process Optimization Engineer (Tampa, FL)

Picture your day elevating precision manufacturing: morning shop walks to review SPC charts at the wax injection presses, midday design-of-experiments to dial in parameters, afternoon coaching with injection and assembly teams, and an end-of-day wrap-up capturing lessons learned into SOPs. If that rhythm sounds like you, this role is built for impact.

What a day might look like

  • Start with performance data from wax injection equipment, confirm output meets spec, and flag opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Run targeted trials (DOE) and analyze results to validate changes and lock in process control strategies.
  • Partner with injection and assembly staff to streamline workflows and standardize best practices.
  • Update documentation — from SOPs to process capability reports — so improvements stick.
  • Lead and train operators on new procedures and equipment settings; be the go-to resource to resolve operational issues during the shift.
  • Own the die maintenance program: schedule, improve, and perform die maintenance when needed to maximize tool life and quality.
  • Scan industry trends to bring fresh ideas that drive innovation across the facility.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Quarterly profit-sharing bonus (eligible upon hire)
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tuition/professional development reimbursement
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Optional HSA with company contribution
  • Short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance at no cost
  • Limitless opportunity for advancement

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years in process engineering or similar within manufacturing; investment casting/lost-wax experience preferred.
  • Sharp analytical approach and problem-solving mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Hands-on proficiency with process simulation and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator; comfortable guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
