Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week (4x10)
Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR). The RN will provide perioperative nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients across a wide range of surgical specialties. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, adaptable, and able to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile environments
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Epic)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other OR units or affiliated campuses as required

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience required
- Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
- Degree accreditation required or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Florida or compact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA required
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
Schedule & Additional Details
- 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- On-call required (details discussed during interview)
- No block scheduling
- Floating required to other units or affiliated campuses
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel eligibility
