Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a medical-surgical setting, utilizing professional skills to support patient recovery and promote health outcomes. This contract position offers a variable three 12-hour shifts schedule, ensuring 36 guaranteed hours per week. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and float as needed, supporting various departments within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, emphasizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Maintain professional accountability and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and other hospital departments.
- Evaluate care effectiveness delivered by direct caregivers and make necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to organizational standards, mission, and values to ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical units.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Proficient in using electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 effectively.
- Willingness to float to different units as needed.
