We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and supporting construction and remodeling projects with general labor tasks. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths or masking materials
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Assist with general labor tasks such as moving materials, operating power tools, and maintaining clean work areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a painter or laborer in the construction industry preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques is a plus
- Ability to work with materials including plaster, drywall, stucco, masonry, and basic carpentry
- Basic understanding of construction estimating is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional manner
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs or more on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks
