Job DescriptionZing Recruiting, in partnership with a consumer product development manufacturing company in the Cary, IL area, is seeking a 2nd shift manual machinist to join their team! This is a great company and team!
Shift: 4:20pm - 12:30am Monday-Friday
Payrate: Up to $33/hr
- Operate manual tool room equipment
- Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds/rebuilds machinery) as a support to the Manufacturing department
- Troubleshoot high speed assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment
- Produce clear/accurate sketches, must be able to read mechanical blueprints
- Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+/-.0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill,
- drill press, chop saw, lathe, push and pull broaches, surface grinder, etc.)
- Cut, shape and fabricate tools
- Regularly clean and maintain machinery
- Must be familiar with machining ferrous, non-ferrous and synthetic materials and alloys
Manual Machinist Qualifications:
- Must possess high school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with machining ferrous, non-ferrous and synthetic materials and alloys
- Manual Machining with some experience with mill/lathe operation and/or set up experience preferred
- Machinist hand tools experience - (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge-finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, mallet, hammer, etc and locking toolbox)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during shift
- Mastercam/Solid works experience a plus
- Tig welding and brazing experience a plus
