Location: Hiawatha, KS

Make a difference in the lives of children and families by delivering comprehensive case management services, promoting safety, permanency, and overall well-being.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human services-related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience in children and family services preferred

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

  • Minimum age of 21 years

  • Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) preferred

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and support families’ unique experiences and needs, considering factors such as developmental stages, trauma, poverty, gender, race, ethnicity, and language

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, placement providers, DCF, colleagues, and community partners

  • Share relevant information appropriately with families and professionals

  • Respond promptly to requests and provide home- and community-based services

  • Conduct caregiver/child observations, maintain client connections, coordinate resources, provide crisis intervention, safety planning, skill development, client transportation, and drug screening

  • Advocate for clients using assessment data, including providing court testimony, attending school meetings, and coordinating mental health services

  • Complete all required documentation—including case logs, assessments, court reports, and social histories—in a timely and thorough manner
