Location: Hiawatha, KS
Make a difference in the lives of children and families by delivering comprehensive case management services, promoting safety, permanency, and overall well-being.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human services-related field
Experience:
-
Previous experience in children and family services preferred
Licensure/Certification:
-
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
-
Minimum age of 21 years
-
Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) preferred
Essential Duties:
-
Understand and support families’ unique experiences and needs, considering factors such as developmental stages, trauma, poverty, gender, race, ethnicity, and language
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, placement providers, DCF, colleagues, and community partners
-
Share relevant information appropriately with families and professionals
-
Respond promptly to requests and provide home- and community-based services
-
Conduct caregiver/child observations, maintain client connections, coordinate resources, provide crisis intervention, safety planning, skill development, client transportation, and drug screening

Advocate for clients using assessment data, including providing court testimony, attending school meetings, and coordinating mental health services

Complete all required documentation—including case logs, assessments, court reports, and social histories—in a timely and thorough manner
