Job Description
The Business Insurance Agent program is designed for individuals who have significant experience with Business Insurance, and want to both build their own business and collaborate with other Farmers agents to offer Business Insurance products to new and existing Farmers customers.
BIAs can build their business within a supportive environment, delivering valuable product options to business owners. They also benefit from built-in relationships other Farmers agents have with existing customers. Whether a BIA wants to focus on specific industries (e.g., contractors and restaurants) or all industries for which coverage is available through Farmers, their experience, sales acumen, skill in building strong customer relationships, and entrepreneurial mindset can position them to add value to their own business, support other agency owners and deliver exceptional value to customers

Responsibilities
Business Development
Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote products, services and/or referral programs.
Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
Attend industry events to network and build relationships.
Develop and implement new marketing and sales strategies.
Help small and large businesses identify risks and select appropriate commercial coverage from Farmers' range of products.
Commercial Property Insurance, General Liability Insurance, Business Owners Policy (BOP), Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto Insurance
Requirements
A Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
Minimum of 3 years Commercial lines experience preferred.
Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and think outside the box.
Must be highly self-motivated.
Follow through and exceed current and prospective client expectations.
Minimum 3-5 years prior sales experience is preferred.
Create relationships from a cold start.
