This role is for an Endovascular Fellow focused on invasive cardiology techniques within a prominent urban healthcare system. The fellowship provides extensive training in vascular and endovascular medicine, covering areas such as management of arterial and venous diseases, interventions for pulmonary embolism, and the interpretation of vascular ultrasounds. Applicants must hold a valid medical license and possess relevant fellowship or catheterization lab experience. We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Endovascular Fellow in the Cardiology division.
Our facility is a 457-bed Level I Trauma Center, complemented by a 213-bed hospital, both of which uphold a strong academic partnership with a leading medical college to ensure high standards of healthcare delivery.
The Cardiology Division has offered a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Medicine for over ten years and serves as a key teaching affiliate for a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. Our center is recognized as a certified STEMI receiving facility with an active PCI program and mechanical support options, including ECMO. We provide exceptional cardiovascular clinical facilities that encompass a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, pacemaker and ICD implantation, as well as cardiac CT and MRI. Additionally, we have operated a Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) since 2014.
Fellowship Highlights:
- A one-year Endovascular fellowship program.
- Focus on managing arterial and venous diseases through endovascular methods.
Training will also encompass:
- Percutaneous interventions for acute pulmonary embolism.
- Wound care management.
- Endovenous ablation techniques.
- Management of interventional dialysis access.
- Formal training in vascular ultrasound interpretation.
- Training facilitated by our accredited noninvasive lab.
The fellowship experience is distinctive due to the close collaboration between interventional cardiology and vascular surgery, providing a thorough didactic curriculum and hands-on training with both cardiologists and surgeons.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State.
- Candidates should possess an M.D./D.O. or an equivalent doctoral degree.
- Previous completion of an Interventional Cardiology fellowship or relevant catheterization lab experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base annual salary: $102,747*, based on a 40-hour work week.
The estimated total annual compensation package is $113,022**, which includes the base salary, 401(k) contributions, and other components outlined below:
