The Barber Law Firm, a growing Personal Injury law firm is looking for a New Client Coordinator for our Plano office. The New Client Coordinator will be responsible for meeting with new clients, initiating insurance claims, working with clients to educate them on the claims process, answering phones, gathering information on cases, tracking case status, filing, faxing, and scanning. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement. The New Client Coordinator will spend the majority of the day working with clients in and out of the office. Customer service and professionalism is a MUST!!!! Also, must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel around Dallas/Ft. Worth for meetings.

Job Duties

  • Working with insurance agencies, police departments, and medical providers
  • Meeting with new clients
  • Setting up insurance claims for clients
  • Accurate filing of all documentation to the appropriate client file and scanning of documents into the computer system
  • Assuring readiness and correctness of files
  • Maintaining general order and confidentiality of files
  • Answering phones professionally and providing excellent customer service

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 1-3 years office experience, preferably in a customer service role
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be very accurate and detail oriented
  • Knowledge of filing insurance claims, working on insurance claims, and property damage a plus, but not required.
  • No prior law firm experience needed
  • English/Spanish Bi-lingual is a plus, but not required

Software Skills

  • Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Heavy calendaring in a deadline-driven office
  • Use of multi-line phone system, copy, fax and scanning machines

Good pay and benefits, including merit bonuses, good working environment, health insurance after a 60-day qualification period, PTO, friendly co-workers, and pleasant atmosphere.

Salary: $34K-$36K/annual base salary, dependent on qualifications, plus sizeable additional bonuses (see below).

Bonuses: Quarterly Merit-based bonuses. Once the employee is established and proves their value, he/she can expect to receive substantial bonuses on a quarterly basis in addition to base salary.

Hours: Full-Time; Mon-Thurs 8am – 5pm, Fri 8am – 3pm (38 hours/week)

PTO: 2 weeks/year, Plus the firm closes for approximately 1.5 - 2 weeks around Christmas/New Year, which is paid time off in addition to the 2 weeks PTO.
