Job Title: Paint Mixer
Job Description
As a Paint Mixer, you will be responsible for mixing paint according to work orders, ensuring that painters have the correct color and quantity they need to stay productive. You will also clean paint guns and the mixing area at the end of your shift.
Responsibilities
- Mix the right color and quantity of paint according to work orders.
- Comprehend and follow Standard Operating Procedures to produce quality parts and maintain equipment.
- Understand and utilize Alcohol and Acetone in the paint process.
- Maintain and clean paint guns and related equipment, including spinners, booths, and filters.
- Troubleshoot and correct typical paint defects, contributing to process improvements.
- Match paint to samples.
- Identify and submit ideas monthly or as needed to improve output, reduce scrap, and eliminate rework.
Essential Skills
- Ability to stand for an 8-10 hour shift.
- Steel Toe or Composite Toe Shoes.
- Previous experience mixing paint, including in retail paint stores.
- Understanding of how to match paint colors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with industrial painting processes.
- Knowledge of paint application and prepping techniques.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature-controlled but stays cool with overhead fans. Regular shifts are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed, including some weekends. Typically, work 40 hours a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
