Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medication management, including ordering lab tests, selecting therapies, and managing adverse events.
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols, ensuring accuracy, appropriate dosages, and patient safety.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on oncology treatment plans, manage side effects, and support medication adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff during clinical rounds to optimize treatment decisions.
  • Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug management, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree.
  • Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
  • Completion of PGY2 residency or oncology fellowship, OR PGY1 plus at least 3 years’ experience as a clinical oncology specialist, OR 5 years’ clinical oncology specialist experience.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) designation preferred.
  • Proven clinical (not staffing) experience at an advanced level.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, day shifts.
