Job Description

We seek an empathetic and caring individual to join our team as a Transportation Specialist for the Douglas County Public School District. This role is crucial in facilitating the safe and supportive transport of children who often face challenging circumstances to and from school. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of childhood development and a commitment to fostering positive experiences for these children. The route entails meeting a driver at an assigned location, being picked up and remaining in the car to pick up a student at their home location and returning to the pickup location to drop the student off. The RA will be picked up and returned to the same assigned location they arrived at.

• Looking for the ideal candidate to work an AM and PM shift to transport the student to and from school.

• Candidates must have their own transportation to and from pick-up/drop-off points.

• Candidates will need to clear a Child Abuse and Neglect background check, along with a fingerprinting

background check, and a standard background check through First Advantage.

• Candidates must be willing commute ~30 minutes to meet Care Driver, though this may be up to 45 minutes.

• Dress code is casual but appropriate.

• REMINDER: we are hiring for regional talent pools – RA’s will not be assigned to specific schools. Rather they will be working within school districts/regions.

• RA’s are not expected to have any contact with their students. This is a non-contact position.

Typically, a 1-hour time block within ~7AM-9:30AM, ~2:30-5PM, but can fall outside of these

ranges. Able to work within these timeslots. Each ride is 23/hr
