Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team. This position offers flexible work optionson-site, remote, or hybrid. You will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy to patients in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and mental status exams.
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions per DSM-5 criteria.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and medication plans.
  • Provide supportive therapy and counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and related disorders.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EHR.
  • Manage psychiatric emergencies and safety planning as needed.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Masters (MSN) or Doctorate (DNP/PhD) in Nursing with Psychiatric/Mental Health focus.
  • Unrestricted Florida APRN license and ANCC certification in Psychiatry.
  • DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and therapeutic interventions.
  • Proficient in EHR systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
  • Professional, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor.
  • Experience with addiction treatments preferred.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
