SUMMARY
The Stewardship team at USA for UNHCR focuses on providing fundraisers with resources to secure new and manage existing partners and donors, ensuring impactful and long-term donor engagement.
The Manager, Audience-Centric Engagement will play a critical role in executing targeted fundraising and engagement strategies tailored to specific donor segments, including women, faith-based communities, emergency supporters, and other affinity groups. This position will develop and implement audience-specific campaigns, messaging, and initiatives to inspire deeper donor engagement and long-term support for the organizations mission.
The Manager will collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement campaigns that align with the organizations mission and resonate with the unique interests of these donor groups. This role will report to the Director of Audience-Centric Engagement and will contribute to the organizations overall fundraising goals through data-driven strategies and innovative audience engagement approaches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with internal teams, including communications, digital marketing, private philanthropy, partnerships and events to integrate audience-specific strategies into broader organizational campaigns and ensure fundraisers have tailored content that resonates with priority segments such as, women, faith-based communities and emergency supporters in addition to future cohorts.
- Execute data-driven strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and re-engagement across prioritized segments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and tailoring approached to the unique motivations for diverse donor cohorts.
- Design and implement audience-centric fundraising campaigns and personalized donor journeys to enhance loyalty, drive revenue growth and improve retention rates.
- Analyze audience data, donor behaviors and engagement trends to inform strategies and optimize campaign performance.
- Maintain year-long engagement calendar to track the needs and requests of various teams related to key moments, themes and U4U fundraising priorities.
- Create template communications, talking points, and messaging for fundraisers, both proactively and upon request, tailored to both broad audiences and specific cohorts to strengthen donor affinity, increase giving and support long-term retention.
- Collaborating with the direct response digital team to create tailored donor journeys for donor segments
- Produce compelling, on-demand fundraising materials including talking points, presentations, emails, and other ad hoc requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in donor engagement, fundraising communications, marketing, or a related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
- In lieu of education/degree requirements and preferences, a successful candidate will have demonstrated:
- Knowledge of stewardship, donor segmentation, market research, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for donor management, tracking, and engagement.
- Creative and professional writing, including copywriting and editing.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and other programs and software utilized.
- Understanding of refugee issues and global affairs.
- Understanding of nonprofit fundraising trends, particularly in engaging affinity groups.
- Managing multiple projects, maintaining year-long engagement calendars, and delivering time-sensitive materials.
- Precision in crafting communications to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational branding and goals.
- Produce engaging and effective communications and storytelling to steward donors.
- Analyze donor behavior, engagement trends, and campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborations skills, with track record of working effectively across multiple teams with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to pivot strategies based on real-time data insights or shifting organizational priorities.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and addressing complex challenges with innovative solutions.
WORK LOCATION
Hybrid + Washington, DC + May also involve travel to some locations within the companys region of operations and select donor locations.
