Job DescriptionThe Foundry Mission:The Foundry Ministries exists to restore hope and rebuild lives through Christ-centered recovery.The Foundry Vision:Permanently transformed lives through Christ-centered ministries.Dormitory Supervisor Position Summary:The Dormitory Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations and supervision of The Foundry Women's Program's dormitories on the Bessemer, Alabama campus. This position requires that the Supervisor live in a women's dormitory on the Bessemer campus.The Dormitory Supervisor also assists the Women's Program Director and Program staff.The Dormitory Supervisor must uphold The Foundry's mission, vision, and core values. The Supervisor must be willing to sign The Foundry's Statement of Faith. The Supervisor reports directly to the Director of the Women's Program and is responsible for upholding the Board of Directors' policies. The Supervisor's responsibilities include the duties defined in this responsibility description.Responsibility Description - As Assigned:Safety, Security, and Visitation:· Responsible for managing campus alarms and/or cameras during shifts.· Responsible for after-hours calls (alarm company, family members of program participants, and staff).· Assist Program Director with safety training, drills, and documentation, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, hostile intruder, overdose, self-harm response, CPR, and AED.· Responsible for providing written/photo documentation of staff and participant accidents and medical emergencies to the Program Director. · Responsible for campus visitation; ensure visitors have received visitation guidelines, distribute name tags, and maintain the sign-in log.· Responsible for participant confidentiality at all times.· Verify Release of Information forms. "It is their story to tell."Transportation:· Responsible for scheduling and facilitating ministry-approved after-hours transportation. · Responsible for securing vehicles, keys, gas cards, and drivers' phones; maintain transportation logs as scheduled. Daily Tasks:· Responsible for program participant and dormitory compliance.· Assist Program Director with the accuracy and implementation of program participant rosters, bed assignments, and participant management software (Apricot) accuracy.· Conduct daily wake-up procedures and facilitate morning scheduling for program participants.· Responsible for "tour-ready" before morning huddle. · Responsible for distributing medications as scheduled and for medication closet organization.· Facilitate morning huddle and general assembly; confirm daily scheduling.· Assist Program Director as a liaison between program staff and program participants by communicating announcements, program guideline updates, and upcoming events; post information on dormitory bulletin boards.· Assist the Program Director in welcoming and facilitating the First Day Experience for new program participants.· Offer support to program staff in offering guidance to guests seeking assistance.· Assist Program Director with reporting and written documentation of maintenance issues and supply requests.· Assist Program Director with participant mail distribution.Dorm Leaders:· Assist the Program Director with selecting, training, and coordinating dorm leaders. · Responsible for meeting with dorm leaders each shift to communicate program updates and address concerns. · Responsible for the coordination of dormitory phone use.Drug Screens:· Assist Program Director with administration of drug screens as required.· Assist Program Director with collection and documentation of fees. Qualifications and Requirements:Education: · High school diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate, or GED.Experience: · Supervisory and management experience preferred.Requirements:· Must be approved by The Foundry's insurance carrier to operate a Foundry vehicle.· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or MAC applications; ability to learn and use program management software.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Proven ability to resolve issues calmly and efficiently.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Comfortable presenting information in person or via various communication channels (telephone, email, social media).· Servant leader.· Quick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignments.· Willingness to be a team player.
