Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A surgical technologist opportunity is available in Mooresville, NC, offering a contract position focused on supporting operating room teams. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures primarily for adolescent and adult patients, requiring reliable and skilled professionals with at least two years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, including sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
- Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Float between departments as needed, including assistance in ambulatory surgical care.
- Participate in an on-call schedule that includes one weekend day and multiple weekday calls over a six-week period.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a surgical technologist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification is required.
- Ability to work scheduled day shifts (06:30 AM 3:00 PM), five days a week.
- Willingness to comply with mandatory flu vaccination policies.
- Flexibility to float and meet weekend and on-call requirements.
