Job DescriptionProject Logistics Coordinator – The WoodlandsLocation: The Woodlands, TXIndustry: Global Freight Forwarding / Project LogisticsSalary: $75,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Houston-based team. This role is critical to supporting our startup office’s expansion, requiring a hands-on professional who can manage both operational execution and client-facing responsibilities within a global freight forwarding environment.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to incoming RFQs and customer enquiries, preparing accurate and competitive quotations
- Coordinate and oversee end-to-end freight operations across air, ocean, and road transport
- Execute and monitor shipments, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and client expectations
- Handle billing processes and operational reporting in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and service providers
- Work with vendors including ocean carriers, breakbulk operators, heavy lift providers, ports, and port agents
- Apply knowledge of Incoterms to ensure proper shipment structuring and risk management
- Attend cargo loadouts and project operations when required
- Support business development efforts, including client engagement and identifying growth opportunities
- Act as a client-facing point of contact, delivering high levels of customer service
- Operate independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience in freight forwarding and logistics operationsStrong working knowledge of air, ocean, and road freightExperience with project cargo, breakbulk, or heavy lift logistics preferredSolid understanding of Incoterms and international shipping practicesFamiliarity with global logistics service providers and port operationsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneouslySelf-starter with the ability to work independently in a startup environmentPreferred SkillsExposure to sales and marketing within logistics or freight forwardingExperience in client relationship managementWillingness to travel or attend on-site operations when required
