Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education teaching position is available for the upcoming school year in York, PA. This contract role is designed for educators with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs across all grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student abilities and requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students in K-12 settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
