Construction Superintendent - NYCHA Rehab Projects
📍 NYC Boroughs | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $140K-$200K + Bonus + Full Benefits
We're seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee NYCHA rehabilitation projects across New York City. This role requires boots-on-the-ground leadership across occupied and unoccupied public housing sites, with a focus on coordination, compliance, and quality execution in active environments.
The Work:
You'll lead all field operations on tenant-in-place and vacant unit rehabs, working across scopes including interior renovations, MEP upgrades, exterior restoration, and site improvements. You'll serve as the primary site lead, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring DOB and NYCHA compliance, managing logistics, and driving schedule adherence while maintaining strong relationships with residents, site staff, and agency reps.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of Superintendent experience, with recent work on public housing or government-funded rehab projects
- Strong knowledge of NYCHA protocols, DOB inspections, and HPD/HDC standards
- Hands-on experience coordinating MEP trades, finish work, and exterior scopes such as masonry, roofing, and window replacement
- Proven track record managing tenant-in-place renovations and navigating resident communication
- Working knowledge of construction technology such as Procore, Plangrid, or similar
- OSHA 30 required; 62-hour SST Supervisor certification preferred
