RN Manager – Labor & Delivery
Unit: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum & Newborn Nursery Oversight
Location: Davie, FL 33328
Schedule: Onsite, Full-Time, Day Shifts (No Weekends Required)
Salary: $42.36–$62.00/hour (based on experience and certifications)

Description:
The RN Manager will oversee the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery units, leading a multidisciplinary team of approximately 27 full-time equivalents (FTEs). This leadership role involves coordinating daily operations, enforcing regulatory compliance (AHCA, CMS, TJC, etc.), supervising clinical staff performance, and working closely with hospital administration to align patient services with strategic goals. With up to 1,500 births annually, the unit demands a confident leader capable of handling high-volume patient care, budget management, and nursing excellence initiatives. This position offers long-term professional growth and the ability to shape perinatal care outcomes in a teaching-focused hospital environment.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Florida or valid multistate compact (meeting FL state eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of prior Nurse Manager experience in Labor & Delivery required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required at start or within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required at start or within 30 days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required at start or within 90 days
- STABLE certification – Required within 60 months of hire
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring – Required within 60 months of hire
- Strong understanding of postpartum and nursery operations (20-bed postpartum unit under management)
- Proven track record managing staff performance and regulatory audits
- Excellent communication, scheduling, and team development skills
