Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Function Tester to perform electrical functionality testing on custom control panels and systems. You will be responsible for inspecting electrical control panels, uploading engineered program files, reworking faulty components, and performing both low and high voltage wiring. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical functionality testing on custom control panels and systems per documentation.
- Inspect electrical control panels according to schematic and BOM.
- Upload engineered program files via USB and manual data entry to controllers, VFD drives, and PLC equipment.
- Rework and repair faulty components and circuits as needed and ensure all documentation is recorded.
- Perform low and high voltage wiring as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for improvement based on inspection and test results.
- Complete QC documentation and problem resolution logs.
- Possess an aptitude for and perform electrical troubleshooting.
- Interface with customers and service technicians to resolve test issues.
- Identify and relay errors to coworkers professionally and efficiently.
- Read, understand, and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics, and diagrams.
- Assist in establishing and implementing best work practices.
Essential Skills
- Electrical assembly and wiring
- Troubleshooting and installation
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with electrical testing equipment such as meters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- High motivation level and ability to multi-task
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of electrical technical training (Associates or equivalent preferred)
- 2+ years of electrical live power testing experience preferred

Work Environment
This role is based in a large manufacturing building, working in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit. Although the shop is kept clean, the nature of the work means you may get dirty. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided to maintain airflow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
