Job Title: Quality Inspector
1st shift: 6am-6pm on the rotating schedule
3rd shift: 6pm-6am on the rotating scheduled.
Must have QUALITY EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
- Assist the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager in coordinating and executing objectives to maximize product quality and operating system efficiency while minimizing costs.
- Support and comply with all company policies including cGMP, ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
- Read and interpret part drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, adjustment methods, and necessary measuring instruments.
- Analyze test data and perform computations to determine test results.
- Collect or select samples for testing or use as models.
- Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
- Perform lot documentation review and approval to ensure compliance with procedures and good documentation practices.
- Reject products and materials that do not meet specifications.
- Discuss inspection results with responsible parties and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications.
- Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Measure dimensions of products using tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, force gauges, CMM, and optical gaging machines to verify conformance to specifications.
- Write reports on nonconformance, rework instructions, and deviations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
