We are hiring now for a Quality Tech 1!

SMTC is a mid-size provider of end-to-end electronics manufacturing services (EMS) including PCBA production, systems integration and comprehensive testing services, enclosure fabrication, as well as product design, sustaining engineering and supply chain management services. The Quality Tech 1 will be responsible for the below:
• Supports Material Review Board (MRB) with nonconformance reports (NCR), including taking part in containment activities, participating in investigations and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor and provide feedback on production activity to ensure compliance to procedures, safety and cleanliness requirements are being maintained.
• Support manufacturing operations, engineering, and quality departments with various activities as needed, including RMA triage and Root Cause analysis, AS9102 preparation, data analysis, equipment qualification, process validation, etc.
• Mine data from various manufacturing systems to prepare reports for analysis.
• Works with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance to maintain test equipment, update forms, procedures and other documentation, provide training to personnel and support other activities as needed.
• Responsible for coordinating purges with manufacturing operations and engineering
• Performs internal audits to ISO 9001 and AS9100
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience for the Quality Tech 1:
• High school/G.E.D diploma
• Associates preferred
• 5 years in manufacturing, quality, or engineering environment required.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (certifications preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings/schematics
• Use of computer systems including Microsoft Office and the internet
