Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele for a contract extension on a busy Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients requiring medical, post-surgical, and continuous cardiac monitoring services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to MS/Tele patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring

• Interpret telemetry and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical record

• Utilize rapid response and emergency protocols as needed

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NY is non-compact)

• BLS Certification (AHA required)

• Recent acute care MS/Tele experience

• Experience with EPIC charting

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
