Forklift Operator – Cement Raw Materials Facility
Location: Manufacturing Plant / Industrial Yard
Pay: $19 per hour
Shift: Full-Time | Day Shift (Overtime as needed)
Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily operations at our cement raw materials facility. This role is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and staging raw materials to ensure smooth production flow while following all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to transport cement raw materials
- Load and unload trucks, railcars, and storage areas safely and efficiently
- Stage raw materials for production and shipping
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns
- Follow OSHA, MSHA, and site-specific safety regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate inventory movement and material handling records
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Assist with general yard and warehouse tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty or outdoor conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cement, concrete, aggregate, or raw materials operations
- Familiarity with bulk material handling and conveyor systems
