Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing critical care in an Emergency Department requires skill, composure, and a commitment to patient-centered service. This role involves delivering safe, effective, and quality care in alignment with state standards and organizational values. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Nurse with strong communication abilities and a readiness to act swiftly in emergency situations.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications obtained within six months of hire date
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Nursing experience preferred
- Excellent assessment, documentation, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure emergency situations confidently

Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-family centered care in the Emergency Department consistent with hospital policies and Maine State Standards
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Rapidly assess and intervene in emergency situations to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
