Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a short-term assignment providing coverage from November 19th through December 23rd. This position involves supporting a high school caseload in an educational setting located in Wakefield, RI. The role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., ideal for professionals interested in travel assignments within schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student support strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate.
- Experience working with school-age children, particularly in high school settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development as well as educational therapy techniques.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently within a school environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability for short-term travel assignments.
