Job Title: Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Darien, IL (Must live local to Chicagoland and no C2C or sponsorship available)
Job Type and Duration: Contract to possible direct
Pay range: 23-25/HR

We are looking for a versatile Accounting Clerk to provide support to our Accounting Department.

A/P- A/R Accounting Clerk

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
• Daily reconciliation of vouchers payable.
• Verifying invoices against purchase orders.
• Work with Purchasing and Receiving to address discrepancies.
• Work with Purchasing for invoice approvals.
• Reconcile credit card purchases with receipts and ensure proper coding.
• Process A/P invoices.
• Work with team on rollout of new A/P scanning software and processes.
• Process expense reports.
• Work with team on rollout of new expense reporting software.
• Data entry.
• Reconciling vendor statements.
• Communicating with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Track credits and work with team to get returns and credits processed timely.
• Track tariffs.
• Month end responsibilities as related to A/P.
• Assist with audits and special projects.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
• Billing spare part shipments
• Work with team to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements and skills:
• High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
• Proven working experience as A/P & A/R Clerk
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
