Position Overview:
This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a California license and CCC certification to support an elementary school in Oakland, CA. The assignment spans the 2025-2026 school year under a contract arrangement. The role involves delivering speech-language pathology services primarily to students in grades K-5 with manageable caseloads, incorporating a balance of direct therapy and assessment duties.
Location:
Onsite at one elementary school in Oakland, California.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments including initial evaluations and comprehensive services.
- Provide both direct therapy services and assessment feedback for students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Manage a caseload of up to approximately 55 students, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with school personnel to support student progress and maintain detailed documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current California license for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) is required.
- Prior experience working in school settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification is a plus.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for working with elementary-age children.
