As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for installing components and equipment on heavy duty chassis frames. Our company manufactures aircraft refueling and vacuum trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Install components and equipment on heavy duty chassis frames
  • Perform mechanical assembly and upfitting tasks
  • Utilize mechanical tools and shop equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints for assembly
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in all assembly tasks

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years mechanical and heavy equipment experience
  • Experience with mechanical tools
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Familiarity with shop tools and equipment such as torque wrenches and impact tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in body shop work and farm equipment assembly

Work Environment

You will be working in a garage environment, exposed to various weather conditions. The role involves bending, squatting, and lifting 50-100lbs. Our team consists of 6-10 assemblers, with 1-2 assemblers per bay area. The dress code includes jeans, T-shirt, and steel-toed boots. The shift is Monday-Friday from 6AM-2:30PM, with an early start at 5AM on hot days. Optional overtime is available on some Saturdays.

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
