We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Program Manager to join our talented, dynamic team.

Maveris is seeking a Program Manager who will serve as the primary leader and point of contact for Maveris's federal cybersecurity engagement, overseeing all program management, delivery, and coordination activities across multiple functional areas. This position will have daily onsite requirements in Washington, D.C.

This position requires a proven leader with hands-on experience in managing enterprise-level cybersecurity and IT programs, integrating both cloud and on-premises environments. The Program Manager will oversee a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals and ensure that all contract deliverables meet technical, quality, and schedule expectations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in information security, risk management, and federal IT compliance, as well as the ability to bridge strategic goals with operational execution.

Duties

  • Program Leadership and Oversight
    • Lead the overall execution of the program, ensuring technical excellence, cost control, and on-time delivery of all contract requirements.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the federal customer and Harmonia, managing communications, performance, and expectations.
    • Oversee daily operations across all support areas, including Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance, Operations, Architecture and Engineering, Privacy, and CUI management.
    • Supervise overall contract administration, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with program objectives.
    • Provide executive-level program reporting, progress updates, and performance metrics to federal stakeholders.
  • Cybersecurity Program Management
    • Coordinate implementation of enterprise information security strategies, ensuring alignment with NIST, FISMA, and FIPS guidelines.
    • Manage teams performing IT audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response, and system documentation.
    • Ensure that cybersecurity solutions adhere to federal policies, privacy requirements, and controlled information protocols.
    • Support adoption of AI and automation within cybersecurity operations to improve threat detection and incident management.
    • Oversee development and enforcement of risk management plans, security architecture strategies, and continuous monitoring programs.
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure program activities comply with federal cybersecurity laws, regulations, and best practices (including NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, and related frameworks).
    • Facilitate communication between technical leads and compliance officials to ensure consistent reporting and audit readiness.
    • Support development and review of program documentation such as System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Lead and mentor multiple security and technical teams, ensuring collaboration across functional areas.
    • Communicate effectively with senior government leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improving cybersecurity resilience.
    • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables using agile and adaptive project management methodologies.
    • Develop and maintain a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the program team.
  • Strategic Planning and Process Improvement
    • Implement ITIL and CMMI-based processes to standardize program execution, documentation, and quality assurance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, risk management, and reporting.
    • Drive innovation by incorporating emerging technologies and methodologies into the program’s cybersecurity approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related discipline is required (Master's Degree Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of applicable experience in managing programs and projects involving the following functions: IT system auditing, security controls assessment, cloud environments, incident response, penetration testing, system documentation, system and application vulnerability scanning and assessment, security architecture, security engineering, privacy, controlled unclassified information, and management of multiple security teams
  • Knowledge of Federal IT policy, regulations, and best practices to include NIST and FIPS guidelines
  • Ability to supervise overall administration for the contract
  • Knowledge of Program Management methodologies
  • Proficient in current IT security processes, procedures, guidelines, technologies, and requirements
  • Knowledge of FISMA regulations and policies
  • Experience with agile and adaptive approaches to project management is recommended.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, manage escalations, and lead program initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • A Cybersecurity Certification is preferred, and may be required within 12 months of start date
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent)
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and resource allocation for large programs.
  • Cybersecurity Certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC)
