Job DescriptionOpportunities for RNs & LPNs in Med/Surg (Full-time & Part-time, Days & Nights)

This role presents both full-time and part-time positions for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) within the Medical-Surgical unit. Nurses will be tasked with delivering patient care, collaborating with various departments, and upholding professional standards, including necessary licensure and certifications such as BLS and ACLS. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care. Holds professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments. Safeguards patient rights and maintains confidentiality of patient information. Executes responsibilities in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, adhering to all state nursing board regulations.
  • Experience: Relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific position/unit, or must be obtained within the designated timeframe, including:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
      • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules)
      • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
