Title: Production Supervisor/Material Area Supervisor/Warehouse Supervisor (Different positions available)
Job Description:
- The Production / Material Area / Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized automotive manufacturing environment.
- This role oversees production operations, material flow, and warehouse activities to ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are achieved.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure daily production and material plans are met and support customer requirements
- Lead and enforce workplace safety standards and compliance
- Supervise production lines, material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities
- Monitor Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) performance metrics
- Analyze shift losses, downtime, and material shortages; implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S)
- Manage staffing, absenteeism, training, and team development
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Support union workforce engagement and maintain positive labor relations
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and operational reporting
Requirements:
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing (automotive preferred)
- Experience in union environment preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Suite
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree.
