This is an in-office position in our North Charleston office. You must live in the Charleston, SC area to be considered.


We are looking for a skilled accounting professional to participate in the daily accounting activities.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $60,000 per year


Responsibilities:

  • Deposit Settlement Checks the day they arrive
  • Confirm client costs advanced match in Litify and QuickBooks
  • Confirm Client Trust Balance in QuickBooks before issuing checks
  • Transfer check data from Litify to QuickBooks after confirming accuracy (amounts, accounts, etc.)
  • Print checks from QuickBooks
  • Scan all IOLTA checks with Settlement Memos to save (in both matter and IOLTA folder)
  • Distribute all Operating Checks to the Attorney or Case Manager


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of three years’ work experience. (Additional work experience can be substituted for the degree)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insight.
  • Meticulousness in ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports.
  • Experience with multi-tasking in small to mid-size companies.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work as part of a functional team.
