Responsibilities:
• Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Coordinate and prepare for financial statement audits, addressing any issues that arise.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
• Review and approve journal entries to ensure precision and compliance.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related needs and challenges.
• Monitor compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and standards.• Proven experience in managing accounting functions, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
• Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and ability to address audit requirements.
