Patient Coordinator (Call Center) – Medical Office
We are seeking a friendly, highly organized Patient Coordinator to join our medical office call center team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, assisting with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, verifying insurance, and helping manage communications between patients and providers. Responsibilities:

Answer high-volume inbound calls from patients and referring providers promptly and professionally

Schedule and confirm appointments across multiple providers and locations

Provide accurate information regarding services, office policies, and insurance participation

Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information during scheduling

Respond to voicemail, online appointment requests, and patient messages in a timely manner

Manage appointment cancellations, reschedules, and waitlists efficiently

Triage patient concerns and route calls appropriately to clinical or administrative staff

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all patient interactions

Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to optimize scheduling and patient flow

Meet performance goals related to call response time, scheduling accuracy, and patient satisfaction
Qualifications:

Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare call center, or similar setting preferred

Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare terminology a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems and scheduling software

Bilingual skills a plus (not required)
