As a Transition Executive Director, you’ll serve as the on-site senior leader for assigned Vivie communities during Executive Director vacancies or transitions. You provide experienced leadership across all departments, maintain operational and financial stability, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are met. Partnering closely with corporate and regional teams, you support occupancy goals, program quality, and overall community success, keeping the community steady and moving forward.

At Vivie, we value our people and offer a competitive pay range of $100,000 to $150,000 (salaried exempt) based on qualifications, experience, size of facility and location. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health coverage, leadership training, and wellness programs.
As a Transition Executive Director, you will:
- Provide Transitional Leadership & Team Support - Step in as the acting Executive Director during leadership vacancies or transitions, providing clear, supportive, and mission-driven leadership. Coach department leaders and team members to maintain engagement, accountability, and performance while fostering a positive and stable culture.
- Oversee Community Operations & Experience – Lead day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure consistent service delivery, hospitality, and resident satisfaction. Maintain Vivie policies, procedures, and operational best practices while stabilizing operations during periods of change.
- Drive Financial Performance and Occupancy – Maintain financial performance aligned with budget expectations by monitoring expenses, revenue, and key operational metrics. Partner with sales and marketing teams to support occupancy projections, census goals, and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality – Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections. Oversee quality assurance, risk management, and corrective action plans as needed. Ensure community programs meet Vivie standards for quality, safety, and resident outcomes.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as the primary on-site leader for residents, families, team members, and external partners. Communicate clearly and professionally during transitions, quickly building trust and alignment in short-term assignments.

This job also requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business or related field
- Licensed Assisted Living Director certification in Minnesota
- Experience as Executive Director in senior living, healthcare, or a related service-based environment
- Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of financial management, operations, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to step into new environments quickly and lead with confidence
- Flexibility and willingness to travel or work across multiple communities
- Ability to pass state mandated background checks.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with team members and visitors.
