JOB SUMMARY:
Modify & test existing components to customer specifications. Record and maintain component and tool inventory. Confirm sales orders, required components and delivery to shipping for final packaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. This list shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
- Convert hydraulic pumps and valves from existing inventory into new configurations.
- Operate hand and power tools, testing fixtures, and measuring devices.
- Visually verify product complies to customer and company specifications.
- Functionally test product.
- Deliver product to shipping for final packaging.
- Responsible for organization of tools and workstation cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include assisting in painting product, packaging product, confirming inventory, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience and/or Training
· 1+ years of Hydraulic valve/pump conversion or training required.
- Ability to read drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, bills of materials, customer specifications.
- Understanding how fluid power works is beneficial.
Licenses/Certificates
(e.g. trade certificates, driver’s licenses, professional certifications, etc. required / preferred)
Technology/Equipment
(if applicable, the proficiencies required to perform the job)
Other Skills and Abilities
Language: the ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, vendors, co-workers, and regulatory agencies either verbally or through written business correspondence.
Math: the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning: the ability to define problems, collect and research data, establish facts, use intuition and experience to complement data and draw valid conclusions.
