Shipping and Receiving Associate (Distribution)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves applying Good Manufacturing Practices, demonstrating company values, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping distribution orders, screening shipments, and executing warehouse system transactions.
Responsibilities
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrate company mission and values.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Pick, pack, and ship distribution orders requiring basic skill level.
- Screen shipments for unauthorized devices in accordance with TSA requirements.
- Execute distribution and warehouse system transactions.
- Process all orders according to priority set by Distribution Leader/Supervisor.
- Verify proper storage conditions and temperature monitoring of shipments.
- Load couriers’ trucks using pallet jacks.
- Identify opportunities to improve overall quality and efficiency.
- Engage in daily management and 5S practices.
- Ensure inventory is properly and safely stored.
- Maintain warehouse for safety, security, and neatness.
Essential Skills
- High School Degree or GED.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Physical ability to lift between 40lbs and 75lbs and use pallet jacks.
- Willingness to spend extended periods walking/standing.
- Ability to enter data for orders and handle inventory items.
- Teamwork skills within Distribution, QA, Client Services, and Supply Chain departments.
- Basic computer competency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with proper PPE.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
