Job DescriptionPosition Overview:Zoom Elite Transportation is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Office Assistant to support the daily operations of our administrative office. The ideal candidate will possess both human resources and general office experience and will serve as a key support person to the General Manager and Director. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative support to the General Manager and Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing communications.
- Assist with HR functions such as onboarding, employee file maintenance, benefits coordination, and attendance tracking.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries.
- Coordinate office activities and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Manage office supply inventory, ordering materials as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of company reports, presentations, and internal documentation.
- Support recruiting processes by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and training sessions.
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or office assistant role.
- Previous HR experience strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Professional demeanor with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday (additional hours may be required based on business needs)
Compensation:
- Starting Pay - $15 -$18 per hour
