Chemical Process Operator II (CPO II) – $27.40–$36/hr DOE | Hercules, CA | 5am-3:30pm | 2-3 Month Assignment

Schedule & Assignment Details
- Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Duration: 2–3 month contract
- Environment: Controlled manufacturing setting (PPE + supplied-air respirator required)
- Equipment: No forklift operation required
What You’ll Be Doing
- Execute end-to-end batch production, including weighing, measuring, mixing, and preparing solutions per SOPs
- Perform in-process testing (pH, conductivity, etc.) and adjust formulas as needed to maintain product quality
- Operate and monitor reactors and large-scale equipment, making real-time process adjustments
- Troubleshoot process or equipment issues and conduct root-cause analysis when deviations occur
- Handle hazardous chemicals safely, including proper storage and waste disposal in compliance with regulations
- Perform equipment cleaning, decontamination, and preparation for maintenance activities
- Complete SAP transactions (goods receipt/issue, inventory tracking, labor entry, etc.)
- Maintain accurate batch records, labeling, and documentation in compliance with GMP standards
- Communicate production, quality, or inventory issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Train or support junior team members and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree preferred)
- 4–6 years of chemical or biological manufacturing experience, ideally in a GMP or regulated environment
- Hands-on experience with reactors, batch processing, and in-process testing
- Strong understanding of hazardous material handling and safety compliance
- Solid math skills (unit conversions, ratios, and calculations)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems efficiently
