Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in an elementary school setting, supporting students from Pre-K3 through 5th grade. This part-time contract position, based in Washington Navy Yard, DC, offers an opportunity to apply your expertise working with a diverse pediatric population and collaborate in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students across early childhood and elementary grades
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems including TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor caseload effectively
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, specifically in school settings (SLP - School, SLP - Pediatrics)
- Familiarity with AAC tools such as TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life is essential
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and tailor interventions to diverse communication needs
- SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates with relevant pediatric experience are encouraged to apply
Location and Duration:
- Elementary school located in Washington Navy Yard, DC
- Part-time (20 hours per week) contract position
- Contract duration: Current school year (ASAP through June)
