Job Title: MRI Technologist (Contract)

Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Department: Radiology – Diagnostic
Assignment Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Night Shift – 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Schedule: 5 days/week, alternating weekends and holidays

Pay Rate: $72 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift contract assignment at a busy acute care hospital in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic MRI procedures, maintaining high imaging standards, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in an acute care hospital setting

• Operate and maintain MRI imaging equipment (GE systems experience required)

• Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety throughout procedures

• Maintain high image quality and adhere to imaging protocols

• Follow hospital policies, New York State regulations, and safety standards

• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to support patient care

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience in an acute care setting

Education Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License (NYSDOH)

• ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT Certification

• BLS (AHA) – Preferred

Special Requirements

• Experience with GE MRI equipment required

• In-person interview required

• Two (2) weeks of mandatory training (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including EPIC training

Schedule Details

• 35 hours per week

• 7 hours per day

• Nights, weekends, and holidays required
