Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to produce precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi‐axis machines to produce parts to exact specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine offsets.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality part production.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or other precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Monitor production processes and make real‐time adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation for production runs, tooling usage, and quality checks.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and team leads to resolve machining challenges.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience (milling, turning, or both).
- Strong knowledge of G‐code, M‐code, and CNC controls (Haas, Fanuc)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‐solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills (Optional but Valuable)
- Experience editing or modifying CNC programs.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (featurecam, Fusion 360, etc.).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and move materials up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
- Work in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and moving parts.
