Schedule:
- Self-scheduling available
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts as needed
- No call or float obligations
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with minimum 2 years of stepdown/PCU experience in similar-sized hospitals
- Successful completion of at least one prior travel contract
- BLS certification required
- Solid telemetry background; able to titrate PCU drips under set rates
- Experience with Med-Surg, Stepdown, and heart failure cases
- Must be comfortable pulling labs (no phlebotomy staff)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to diverse Med-Surg and Stepdown patients (1:4-5 ratio)
- Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides in a team-oriented setting
- Utilize nasal, face masks, and BiPAP as needed for respiratory support
- Adhere to established care protocols and documentation standards
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation, including skills assessment and preceptorship
