Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Dialysis

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support dialysis treatments and provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role includes monitoring patients during treatment, operating dialysis equipment, and ensuring a safe clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Obtain and record vital signs and patient weights
• Perform vascular access care and cannulation as permitted
• Respond to patient needs and report any condition changes to RN
• Document treatment data accurately and timely
• Assist with lab specimen collection and processing
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
• Follow infection control policies and procedures
• Support patient education and care coordination

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Dialysis PCT experience (within the last 2 years preferred)
• Must have a valid CCHT
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient movement
